All scientific archaelogists* are agreed that, at the very most, a tiny minority of the people involved in Israelite ethnogenesis escaped from Egyptian slavery. The vast numbers mentioned in the Bible simply did not cross the desert.

Instead, the vast majority of Israelites emerged in Canaan. They probably all did.

The Bible is complete inaccurate in this regard.

So, as stated, half the myth of the pyramids being built by slaves comes from the Bible (the legend of Exodus) and the other half from Hollywood.

Nope, Sadly slavery has one on for hundreds of year, the Romans took slaves from all over Europe including Britain but we don't demand the Italians apologise or destroy roman statues. The Barbary pirates enslaved over a million slaves from Europe including from Britain

I will feel guilty when people such as Lewis Hamilton stop wearing Hugo Boss, driving for Mercedes and recognise the total and utter hypocrisy of their own agenda.

I mentioned the part of the your statement that was erroneous.

I think we can agree Hollywood and narratives well before that take license or portray legend. Do you need me to explicitly agree with you on that?

"The Bible" part was wrong is the point. If you had left religion out of it you would have been making a factual statement. Probably a lesson there.

Re: Anybody on here feel guilty about slavery?
It said the Israelites were slaves in Egypt and Hollywood filled in the gaps.

Very like you to mention half of what I said.

Unlike you to engage in superfluous mentions of religion but the Bible says nothing about who built the pyramids.

The era of slavery mentioned in it is probably the New Kingdom of Egypt c 1500 BC. Pyramids were built about 1500 years earlier so really not surprising there is nothing about them in it.

Re: Anybody on here feel guilty about slavery?
It might be worth checking who historians now think built the pyramids.

It wasn't slaves*.

The Bible and Holywood's history is a little inaccurate.

*Some might have been involved in feeding and otherwise caring for the workforce, but the main workforce weren't slaves

Re: Anybody on here feel guilty about slavery?
Unless you owned your own land in the UK you were basically a slave to the land-owner. Even if you had a "trade" you probably were given work from "the estate" to complete for little or no cost.

Serfs, and those "in service" played roughly the same role as slaves, but were clearly not black enough to be of concern.

Arab history is virtually built around slavery and most modern Arab states couldn't survive without it.

Indians, too, love somebody to order about and kick in the bollocks, just because they can.

Slavery hasn't gone away - it's not simply an item of history; it's just been badge-engineered to make it more palatable/less visible to the general public.

Paris.

When was the last time you heard/ saw a white person telling an African to fuck off from where they came.

And secondly, did slavery come about after we built boats and took to sea? Those pyramids, build themselves did they?

These "riches". How were they being used by the locals at the time? How did the tribes suffer when they were appropriated and whisked away?

Re: Anybody on here feel guilty about slavery?
Nobody wants white people to feel guilty for racism brought about by British Colonialism, as mentioned many times no one here was born then. Just has to be acknowledged that Africa is not in a great shape and immigrants from these regions come to this country to enjoy some of the riches stolen from these regions which has made this country immensely wealthy. So its a bit rich telling them to fuck off back to their countries having raped and pillaged it in the past.

Of course they don't give a shit about that, they're more worried about being OVER represented on TV.

The worst cases of modern day slavery are in Africa between various tribes. But hey,its only blacks on blacks so who gives a shit.

Maybe the BLM sheep should try protesting about that?

The infrastructure for the Qatar world cup was built by slaves. Sure, they had a consumer-friendly name tag but they were still slaves.

Hope you fully appreciate the deaths & injuries as you cheer YOUR team along from a safe distance.

And now, here's a word from our sponsor.

Re: Anybody on here feel guilty about slavery?
Well sadly modern day slavery exists. Of course those talking about slavery don't want to acknowledge that. Leads to rather uncomfortable realizations.
